La Policía Nacional ha confirmado este domingo que la muerte de una mujer de 38 años en Tenerife es un nuevo caso de violencia machista.
El cadáver de la mujer, que presentaba varios golpes, fue hallado en una vivienda de El Draguillo, de la capital tinerfeña, donde convivía con el presunto agresor que fue detenido.
El hombre de 39 años permanece detenido en dependencias policiales y se prevé que pase a disposición judicial entre el lunes y el martes.
Fuentes policiales han confirmado que existía una relación sentimental entre la víctima y su presunto agresor aunque no había antecedentes de malos tratos.
El cuerpo sin vida de la mujer fue encontrado sobre las 8.00 horas de la mañana en la vivienda en la que al parecer la pareja estaban de ocupas y según han manifestado en la prensa local varios vecinos, no se conocían disputas entre ellos.
En lo que va de año, 34 mujeres han muerto en España por violencia machista, además de otros dos casos que está siendo investigados para determinar si son feminicidios.
