El número muertos en el atentado terrorista perpetrado ayer en el metro de Minsk ascendió a doce, informó hoy el Comité de Seguridad del Estado (KGB) de Bielorrusia.
"A las 02.30 (11.30 GMT del lunes) del 12 abril el número de muertos se elevó a doce, seis de los cuales han sido identificados", declaró un portavoz del KGB, citado por la agencia rusa Interfax.
Agregó que un total de 149 personas, de ellas 22 graves y 30 con heridas de mediana gravedad, recibieron atención médica.
Una bomba de una potencia equivalente a siete kilogramos de trilita, según datos preliminares, estalló ayer en hora punta, poco antes de las seis de la tarde, en la estación del metro "Oktiábraskaya" de la capital bielorrusa.
Esta estación es una de las más concurridas de Minsk, ya que enlaza las edificios oficiales y las sedes de las principales empresas industriales de la ciudad con los barrios dormitorio.
"No descarto que nos hayan podido traer este 'regalo' del exterior. Pero tenemos que mirar adentro. Los culpables deben ser encontrados", aseguró el presidente Bielorrusia, Alexandr Lukashenko, tras visitar el lugar del atentado.
El líder bielorruso, considerado el último dictador de Europa, llamó a desenmascarar a quién le conviene "tirar por tierra la tranquilidad y estabilidad del país".
"Nos han lanzado un serio desafío. Debemos dar una respuesta adecuada. ¿Quiénes son? Les pido que se apuren a la hora de responder a este pregunta", dijo.
