La central nuclear de Ascó II (Tarragona) ha comunicado que ha procedido a la parada de la unidad II, en cumplimiento de las Especificaciones Técnicas de Funcionamiento, por haber declarado inoperables los dos Generadores Diesel.
Según informa el Consejo de Seguridad Nuclear (CSN) en un comunicado, este hecho se ha producido tras recibir una comunicación del fabricante de los cojinetes para dichos generadores, en la que se informaba de la existencia de una partida de cojinetes defectuosos.
La central va a proceder a sustituir los cojinetes afectados, de manera preventiva.
El suceso, que ha sido clasificado como de nivel 0 en la Escala Internacional de Sucesos Nucleares (INES), no ha supuesto riesgo alguno para los trabajadores ni para el medio ambiente, según el CSN.
