El vicealcalde de Madrid, Manuel Cobo, ha preferido no valorar hoy la reforma de la Ley de Cajas que esta tarde tiene previsto aprobar la Asamblea hasta ver qué ocurre con el recurso de inconstitucionalidad que presentó el Gobierno contra esta iniciativa del ejecutivo autonómico de Esperanza Aguirre.
"Vamos a esperar", ha contestado el vicealcalde cuando ha sido recabada su opinión al respecto en la rueda de prensa posterior a la reunión semanal de la Junta de Gobierno del Ayuntamiento.
Lo que sí ha hecho Cobo es reconocer que el texto que esta tarde votará la Asamblea "parece que está corrigiendo" el "agravio" que el Ayuntamiento denunció que suponía para Madrid la propuesta original, al reducir su representación en los órganos de gobierno de la Caja.
También ha insistido en que "hay que procurar llegar a acuerdos con el máximo o con la totalidad" de las entidades con representación en Caja Madrid -lo que incluiría al PSOE- y ha reiterado el papel que debe jugar la dirección nacional del PP en este proceso, dado que no sólo afecta a Madrid sino también al resto de España.
Cobo ha recordado además que la anterior Ley de Cajas, elaborada cuando Ruiz-Gallardón era presidente autonómico, fue aprobada en la Asamblea por unanimidad y con acuerdos con el resto de instituciones.
