El Barcelona empató hoy (0-0) en su primera visita al estadio de Cornellà y corta así una racha de siete victorias consecutivas en el torneo de Liga, desde su empate a dos goles en el campo del Almería, en la 25ª jornada del campeonato.
El Barcelona había ganado de manera consecutiva a Valencia, Zaragoza, Osasuna, Mallorca, Athletic, Real Madrid y Deportivo, pero no pudo superar al Espanyol en el primer derbi barcelonés disputado en el estadio de Cornellà.
En su 52º partido oficial de la presente temporada, el Barcelona volvió a dejar su portería a cero, algo que ha logrado en 29 partidos durante el curso, igualando su récord durante una temporada, en la campaña 1986-87.
El Barcelona, además, se quedó sin marcar por segunda vez en la temporada, después de empatar sin goles en el campo del Valencia, en la séptima jornada de Liga. En el global de la temporada, teniendo en cuenta los encuentros internacionales, el Barcelona había encadenado 34 partidos seguidos marcando al menos un gol, desde su empate sin goles en el campo del Rubin Kazan.
Con 84 puntos, el Barça se mantiene en las 26 victorias, a una de igualar su récord en una sola temporada, el que marcó el año pasado con 27 triunfos en 38 jornadas. El récord absoluto de victorias en la historia de la Liga lo ostenta el Real Madrid de la temporada 1987-88, con 28 triunfos.
