Álvaro Bautista, piloto español del equipo Aspar Team, se mostró hoy confiado en recuperar su mejor nivel competitivo en el séptimo gran premio de la temporada, el de Cataluña, el próximo domingo en Montmeló, donde espera poder cerrar su racha de tres pruebas sin puntuar tras su caída del pasado domingo en Mugello.
Octavo clasificado en el Mundial del cuarto de litro, Bautista no sube al podio desde su victoria en Portugal. Por ello, cree que Montmeló, "un circuito tan rápido como Mugello pero menos bacheado", puede ayudarle a subir de nuevo al cajón "con nuestra gran baza a favor, la afición española".
Pese a no haber puntuado en las tres últimas carreras (China, Francia e Italia), el piloto toledano cree que el nivel de su equipo continúa alto y que sólo le falta "poder rematar las carreras".
"Aunque últimamente no estamos logrando resultados, veo bien la moto y se está trabajando a tope. Ojalá podamos volver a los puntos en Montmeló", comentó antes de posar para la foto oficial de su equipo en el trazado catalán.
Antes, Bautista cumplió con un ritual, estampar con sus propias manos el número 19 en la parte frontal de su Aprilia, en el 'box' de su equipo. "Parece que así se hace con más cariño", explicó.
