Actualizado:
El Grupo Santander logró un beneficio neto atribuido de 4.730 millones de euros en el primer semestre de 2008, un 6,1% por ciento más que entre enero y junio del año pasado, cifra que hubiera crecido el 22% sin tener en cuenta las plusvalías, comunicó hoy la entidad a la Comisión Nacional del Mercado de Valores (CNMV).
Este resultado, superior a las previsiones de los analistas, se debió, en gran parte, a que los ingresos crecieron el 16 por ciento, 3,5 veces más que los costes (5%), lo que determinó un incremento del 26 por ciento del margen de explotación -el que mejor refleja la evolución del negocio puramente bancario-, explica la entidad.
