Actualizado:
Rafa Benítez, entrenador del Liverpool, ha sido investido hoy como Doctor Honoris Causa, en un acto académico celebrado en la Universidad Miguel Hernández (UMH) de Elche, por su aplicación de la metodología científica en Ciencias de la Actividad Física y del Deporte al entrenamiento del fútbol.
"Es un orgullo y una satisfacción, y ojalá sirva para que otros sigan mi camino. No hay muchos deportistas en el mundo de la universidad porque es muy difícil compaginar el trabajo diario con las instituciones académicas", explicó el técnico madrileño.
El padrino del nuevo doctorando fue el vicedecano responsable de la titulación de Ciencias de la Actividad Física y del Deporte de la UMH, Eduardo Cervelló.
