Los inversores se decidían por las compras en los primeros compases de la sesión, tal y como anticipaban los futuros, y la Bolsa española avanzaba el 0,81 por ciento y se asomaba a los 8.400 puntos.
A las 09.10 horas el principal indicador de la Bolsa español, el Ibex-35, recuperaba 72 puntos y se situaba en 8.389 unidades, mientras que el Índice General de la Bolsa de Madrid, con todos sus sectores en positivo, ganaba el 0,84 por ciento.
El dato de la jornada lo proporcionará el Eurostat, que anunciará las cifras definitivas de los datos del PIB de la UE en el cuarto trimestre de 2008.
Además, la Reserva Federal de Estados Unidos difunde su informe sobre créditos al consumidor en febrero, y el Banco de Japón anuncia su decisión de política monetaria.
A esta hora los mercados europeos se decidían también por las subidas, de modo que Fráncfort avanzaba el 0,50 por ciento, Milán, el 0,40 por ciento, y París, el 0,23 por ciento.
En España todas las cotizadas del Ibex excepto Abengoa y el Popular, que perdían el 0,33 y el 0,19 por ciento, lograba beneficios.
Así, Telecinco y OHL encabezaban un día más a primera hora los avances del Ibex con repuntes del 3,92 y del 3,71 por ciento.
Para los grandes valores del mercado, los avances eran del 1,87 por ciento para Repsol, del 1,37 por ciento para Santander, del 1,27 por ciento para Iberdrola, del 1 por ciento para Endesa, del 0,66 por ciento para Telefónica, y del 0,43 por ciento para BBVA.
En el mercado continuo destacaban las ganancias de Ercros y Urbas, de entre el 6 y el 7 por ciento.
En el mercado de divisas el euro bajó hoy en las primeras horas de cotización en Fráncfort y se cambiaba a 1,337 dólares, frente a los 1,338 dólares de ayer por la tarde.
