El secretario general de UGT, Cándido Méndez, afirmó hoy que el diálogo social "no existe", y emplazó al Gobierno a que, si quiere recuperarlo, "renegocie" la reforma laboral y "retire" la imposición de elevar la edad legal de jubilación hasta los 67 años.
En una entrevista con TVE recogida por Efe, Méndez sostuvo que, actualmente no hay ninguna negociación con el Gobierno para llegar a acuerdos.
Preguntado por qué mensaje debe enviar el Ejecutivo para recuperarlo, respondió que debe "revertir" la reforma laboral y "reconciliarse" con la sociedad civil y el Pacto de Toledo retirando su propuesta de incrementar en dos años (hasta los 67) la edad legal de jubilación.
En cuanto a si Zapatero debe reunirse con los sindicatos, como hizo el pasado sábado con 37 empresarios, Méndez afirmó que no esperan que les llame, salvo para decirles que está dispuesto a reabrir la reforma laboral y a conciliarse con la sociedad y los partidos en materia de pensiones.
El secretario general de UGT eludió precisar si convocaría una huelga general si el Gobierno saca adelante la reforma de las pensiones, pero advirtió de que esa iniciativa supondría "apostar por la confrontación".
También criticó que el Gobierno, por la "ansiedad de los mercados", haya decidido regular las agencias de colocación privadas en vez de reforzar primero los servicios públicos de empleo.
