El caudal del río Ebro a su paso por Miranda de Ebro, en el norte de la provincia de Burgos, comienza a descender y la situación tiende a normalizarse en esta localidad, según han informado esta tarde fuentes del Ayuntamiento.
De los 5,31 metros de altura registrados a la una de la madrugada de hoy, con un caudal de 1.200 metros cúbicos por segundo, se ha descendido a 3,85 metros y 661 metros cúbicos por segundo y la tendencia para las próximas horas es que el agua siga bajando.
Estas cifras han permitido también que desde primera hora de la mañana volvieran a abrirse al tráfico tanto el Paseo de La Arboleda como la calle Bilbao, que anoche permanecían cortadas por inundarse las partes más bajas de ambas zonas.
De momento, el Centro de Coordinación activado ayer tras la crecida del Ebro sigue operativo y lo estará durante toda la jornada, y aunque la situación mejora se trabajará en labores de prevención, según han informado dichas fuentes.
Un helicóptero de la Agencia de Protección Civil de la Junta de Castilla y León ha sobrevolado durante gran parte de la mañana la ciudad y las zonas limítrofes.
Además, ya han regresado a sus casas las once personas residentes en el barrio de Los Pinos, muy cercano al río, que anoche "por prevención", fueron evacuadas y alojadas en el Albergue Juvenil Fernán González, donde la Junta llegó a habilitar 78 camas.
También dispuso 200 más en el Centro de Día y otras 10 más en la Residencia Mixta de Mayores.
Anoche fue necesario achicar agua en los sótanos de la Comisaría del Cuerpo Nacional de Policía y del Centro de Salud Miranda Oeste, donde se filtró por los desagües.
