Centenares de escolares del municipio de Getxo (Vizcaya) no podrán ir hoy a clase debido a que las instalaciones de sus colegios están aún hoy anegadas o llenas de lodo, debido a las inundaciones ocurridas ayer en el País Vasco y que afectaron especialmente a este municipio por el desbordamiento del río Gobelas.
Algunos de los centros escolares del citado municipio se encuentran en los márgenes del río Gobelas, como es el caso del colegio público Larrañazubi donde el agua cubrió totalmente la primera planta del edificio y también resultaron muy afectados la ikastola Golela y el instituto Getxo 1.
Además, están cerradas las instalaciones deportivas municipales de Fadura, tanto en su polideportivo, como los frontones o los diferentes campos de juego, que estuvieron gran parte del día bajo el agua del río desbordado.
A lo largo de toda la noche, camiones cisterna con bombas para retirar el agua y operarios municipales han trabajado para devolver la normalidad a la zona más afectada de los barrios de Neguri y Algorta, y aunque el río está volviendo a su cauce paulatinamente, aún esta mañana hay lodo en muchas calles e importantes balsas de agua, así como garajes inundados y algunas viviendas siguen sin luz.
Aparte de Getxo, el resto del País Vasco recupera poco a poco la normalidad en una jornada en la que ha dejado de llover, pero en la que aun permanecen cerradas al tráfico varias carreteras, entre ellas el Corredor de Uribe Costa a la altura de la localidad de Getxo, uno de las vías más transitadas de la provincia, informó la Ertzaintza.
Los servicios de transporte público funcionan hoy con normalidad, incluido el metro, que ayer resultó afectado por las inundaciones y que hoy reanuda su servicio habitual, con la única excepción de que en las horas puntas están en marcha 21 trenes, en vez veinticuatro.
