El presidente de la Junta de Andalucía, Manuel Chaves, ha acudido hoy al Parlamento autonómico para firmar la renuncia a su acta de diputado andaluz por Cádiz y presentar su dimisión como presidente del Ejecutivo autonómico para incorporarse al nuevo Gobierno que planea José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero.
Chaves llegó a la sede del Parlamento autonómico sobre las 12.20 horas acompañado del vicepresidente primero de la Junta y consejero de Presidencia, Gaspar Zarrías, y mantuvo un encuentro con la presidenta de la Cámara, Fuensanta Coves, a quien entregó su renuncia como parlamentario autonómico, 19 años después de haber sido elegido por primera vez como representante al Parlamento regional.
Manuel Chaves, que ha sido presidente de la Junta de Andalucía desde 1990, vuelve a la política nacional para incorporarse a una de las Vicepresidencias del nuevo Gobierno central que planea Rodríguez Zapatero.
