La Delegada del Gobierno en Madrid, Cristina Cifuentes, ha autorizado las manifestaciones convocadas para la tarde de este sábado, 23 de febrero, bajo el lema 'Marea Ciudadana Unida contra los recortes y por una verdadera Democracia', y que confluirán en la plaza de Neptuno, frente al Congreso e los Diputados. Sin embargo, desplegará 1.650 policiales antidisturbios pertenecientes a 33 grupos de las UIP, que UIP compondrán el dispositivo de seguridad para las cuatro marchas convocadas el sábado por más de 200 organizaciones y colectivos.
La Policía Nacional está diseñando un amplio dispositivo de seguridad, preocupada por la manifestación de este sábado, a la que hay que sumar el debate del estado de la nación y la huelga de Iberia. Los máximos responsables policiales, encabezados por el director general, Ignacio Cosidó, mantuvieron una reunión para organizar los dispositivos, a la que han asistido los mandos de las Unidades de Intervención Policial (UIP) o antidisturbios.
Cifuentes también mantuvo una reunión de coordinación celebrada con asistencia de representantes de las Fuerzas y Cuerpos de Seguridad y los convocantes, que esperan que asistan unas 600.000 personas. La Delegación ha recordado a los organizadores que son los responsables del 'buen orden' de las protestas, aunque ellos ya han anunciado que dispondrán de cordones de seguridad formados por bomberos y voluntarios de los colectivos convocantes. Pese a ello, la delegada ha advertido de que ese 'buen orden' no se dé, serán ellos los responsables de una infracción grave.
