El tráfico en el paso fronterizo de Biriatou, en Irún (Guipúzcoa), discurre con normalidad desde que ayer por la tarde la Ertzaintza despejó la zona en la que permanecían parados miles de camiones que formaban colas kilométricas en ambos sentidos de la circulación.
Según informó el departamento vasco de Interior, este paso fronterizo, ubicado en la autopista A-8 (Bilbao-Behobia), registra en estos momentos un tráfico fluido.
La Policía vasca, en coordinación con los gobiernos español y francés, despejó sobre las 20.30 horas de ayer esta zona en la que miles de camioneros permanecían parados desde el lunes debido al paro de los transportistas mientras ocupaban el carril derecho de la calzada en ambos sentidos, lo que obligaba a los turismos a circular por el izquierdo y causaba retenciones intermitentes en el lugar.
