Coca-Cola Co dijo el miércoles quelanzará mini-latas de gaseosas de 90 calorías para ayudar a losconsumidores a manejar su ingesta calórica.
El mayor fabricante de bebidas gaseosas del mundo dijo quehabrá latas más pequeñas para las marcas Coca-Cola, Sprite,Fanta Orange, Cherry Coca-Cola y Barq's Root Beer. Las latasserán vendidas en paquetes de ocho.
Las mini-latas debutarán en Nueva York y Washington D.C. endiciembre. El lanzamiento nacional debería estar "en marcha"hacia marzo, dijo la empresa.
Coca-Cola dijo el mes pasado que incluiría informaciónsobre calorías en el frente de casi todos sus empaques,mientras intensifica sus esfuerzos para aumentar elconocimiento de los consumidores sobre nutrición y estilo devida saludable.
La medida se produce después de los crecientes pedidosdesde Washington para se les cobre impuestos a las bebidasazucaradas y la comida como una forma de ayudar a luchar contrala obesidad en Estados Unidos.
