La demanda de energía eléctrica en la Península alcanzó en junio los 21.014 GW/h, lo que supone un incremento del 0,2 por ciento respecto al mismo mes del año anterior, debido a las bajas temperaturas registradas para esta época del año, informó hoy Red Eléctrica de España (REE).
Una vez corregida la influencia tanto del calendario laboral como de las temperaturas, el crecimiento del consumo de energía eléctrica fue del 3,5%.
En el primer semestre del 2008 el consumo eléctrico fue de 132.679 GWh, el 2,4% más que en el mismo período del 2007.
Una vez corregidos los efectos del calendario laboral y de la temperatura, el crecimiento de la demanda fue del 3,1 por ciento.
Las reservas totales de agua de los embalses con aprovechamiento hidroeléctrico registraron un incremento de 1,5 puntos porcentuales respecto al mes anterior, lo que representa un 54% de su capacidad total, aunque se situaron 9 puntos por debajo de las existentes a finales de junio del 2007.
Por cuencas, las correspondientes a la mitad norte peninsular tienen unas reservas en torno al 70%: 72% en la Norte, 73% en el Duero y 70% en el Ebro.
