El ministro de Trabajo e Inmigración, Celestino Corbacho, aseveró hoy que el superávit de la Seguridad Social no se agotará este año "de ninguna de las maneras" y dijo que "discrepa radicalmente" de las previsiones hechas por el gobernador del Banco de España, Miguel Ángel Fernández Ordóñez.
También los secretarios generales de UGT, Cándido Méndez, y de CCOO, Ignacio Fernández Toxo, junto con los presidentes de la CEOE, José María Lacasa, y de CEPYME, Jesús Bárcenas, criticaron duramente la afirmación de Fernández Ordóñez, a quien calificaron de alarmista y de tener un exceso de locuacidad.
Estas consideraciones fueron realizadas tras la firma del Acuerdo Tripartito de Solución Extrajudicial de Conflictos laborales entre el ministro de Trabajo e Industria y los agentes sociales.
Corbacho advirtió al gobernador del Banco de España de que "no puede arrojar inseguridad sobre un sistema que es seguro ni jugar con la tranquilidad de ocho millones de pensionistas", tras lo que aseguró que los datos de la Seguridad Social apuntan a que el sistema acabará el año con superávit.
Fernández Ordóñez dijo ayer que el impacto de la crisis económica se ha dejado sentir en las cuentas de la Seguridad Social, de forma que se ha producido un "rápido deterioro" del superávit que se registraba y que incluso "podría desaparecer durante este año".
