El déficit comercial acumulado en los ocho primeros meses de 2009 alcanzó los 31.914,3 millones de euros con un retroceso interanual del 52,4 por ciento en medio de la crisis económica, según datos divulgados el jueves por el Ministerio de Industria, Turismo y Comercio.
En los ocho primeros meses de 2009, las exportaciones españolas de mercancías se situaron en 101.735,7 millones de euros, inferiores en un 19,8 por ciento al del mismo periodo de 2008.
Por su parte las importaciones se redujeron un 31,1 por ciento en tasa interanual para alcanzar los 133.650 millones de euros.
Según el departamento de Comercio, el déficit energético descendió un 45,8 por ciento, mientras que el déficit no energético cayó un 58,6 por ciento interanual.
Por su parte, la tasa de cobertura se ha situado en el 76,1 por ciento, superior en 10,7 puntos al del periodo enero-agosto de 2008.
En los ocho primeros meses de 2009, los principales sectores exportadores han sido los bienes de equipo, con un 20,4 por ciento del total y el automóvil, con un 17,1 por ciento del total.
En cuanto a las compras exteriores de bienes de equipo (20,6 por ciento del total) han mostrado un descenso del 35,5 por ciento respecto a los valores del periodo enero-agosto de 2008.
Las exportaciones dirigidas a la Unión Europea (68,9 por ciento del total en los ocho primeros meses de 2009) han disminuido un 20,2 por ciento interanual.
Por su parte, las ventas a la zona euro (56,7 por ciento del total) se redujeron un 18 por ciento.
