Un brote de una enfermedad en una granjaavícola en la ciudad central española de Guadalajara, que llevóal sacrificio de unas 400.000 gallinas durante el fin desemana, no se debió al virus de la gripe H1N1, dijo el martesel Ministerio de Agricultura.
Las autoridades decidieron sacrificar a los animales comomedida de precaución tras la muerte de 2.000 gallinas en pocosdías en la granja Segura, en Almoguera, cerca de Guadalajara.
"Es un caso de la cepa H7, que no tiene nada que ver congripe aviaria", dijo la ministra para el Medioambiente yAsuntos Rurales, Elena Espinosa, en un comunicado.
La funcionaria añadió que se habían tomado medidassanitarias en un radio de 10 kilómetros alrededor de la granjay que las autoridades esperaban que los resultados delaboratorio confirmaran los obtenidos localmente.
"Se trata de una enfermedad animal, que no tiene impactosobre el consumo humano, aunque sí puede causar pérdidaseconómicas para la explotación", explicó.
