La violencia de género se cobró ayer una nueva víctima tras el fallecimiento en La Línea de la Concepción (Cádiz) de una mujer que murió abrasada en su domicilio, tras un incendio supuestamente provocado por su compañero sentimental. El hombre, que fue arrestado por la Policía en las inmediaciones del lugar, presuntamente prendió fuego a la casa con los cuatro hijos de la víctima en su interior.
Las llamas causaron heridas de gravedad a una niña de dos años y medio, que anoche permanecía ingresada en el hospital Virgen del Rocío de Sevilla y su vida corría peligro. Otra familiar de la mujer fallecida, de 19 años, resultó herida "muy grave", con quemaduras en el 40% de su cuerpo. La joven está ingresada en la UCI.
El presunto agresor había amenazado a la fallecida con matarla desde hacía mucho tiempo, según fuentes cercanas al caso. Incluso había vulnerado una orden de alejamiento este mismo mes, según explicó ayer la consejera de Bienestar Social de la Junta de Andalucía, Micaela Navarro. El detenido había sido condenado, además, en varias ocasiones por malos tratos.
"La casa era un horno", señalaron fuentes municipales. De hecho, varios integrantes del dispositivo de emergencias tuvieron que recibir asistencia médica por inhalación de humo, al igual que algunos vecinos del inmueble siniestrado. Además, un agente sufrió quemaduras en un brazo y otro, en una mano.
Teléfono en 51 idiomas
A partir del próximo mes de julio, el teléfono 016 de información y asesoramiento jurídico a víctimas de la violencia de género atenderá en 51 idiomas. Hasta ahora, el servicio se ofrecía en español y en las lenguas cooficiales, además de en francés y en inglés. En julio, el servicio también estará operativo las 24 horas del día en alemán, árabe, búlgaro, chino, portugués y rumano. Y de lunes a viernes, de 8:00 a 18:00 horas, se atenderá en otros 42 idiomas.
