La Dirección General de Tráfico (DGT) prevé que se produzcan unos 84 millones de desplazamientos durante los próximos meses de julio y agosto, en el marco de la operación especial de tráfico con motivo de las vacaciones de verano.
Estos desplazamientos - 40.550.000 en julio y 43.450.000 en agosto- son aproximadamente los mismos que los registrados el año pasado, aunque suponen una disminución del 4,5% respecto a los 88 millones del verano de 2007.
Durante este verano habrá una especial vigilancia sobre el consumo de alcohol y, de hecho, entre los próximo 6 y 17 de julio se desarrollará una campaña de vigilancia especial sobre este factor de riesgo.
La primera operación salida del verano se pondrá en marcha el viernes 3 de julio y concluirá el domingo 5, días en los que están previstos 3.950.000 desplazamientos.
En ese fin de semana, la circulación más intensa se producirá en las salidas de las grandes ciudades, especialmente desde Madrid hacia segundas residencias cercanas y de las costas del Mediterráneo, por lo que las carreteras más afectadas serán las de Castilla-La Mancha, Comunidad Valenciana, Murcia y Andalucía.
