Los oyentes de Radio Marinaleda tienen ocasión de conocer cada mañana a través de las ondas las principales informaciones y artículos que aparecen en Público. La emisora municipal del pueblo que encarna la lucha jornalera en Andalucía considera que este periódico "reivindica un acceso a la información sin complacencias con el poder, con la que nos sentimos muy identificados", según palabras de su directora, Susana Falcón, que el jueves condujo en el ayuntamiento la entrega de los galardones que la emisora concede anualmente a personas y entidades que colaboran en la radio y la televisión locales.
La relación de diplomas incluyó en esta edición, junto al diario Público, nombres como el del ex diputado del IU Antonio Romero, los alcaldes de Pedrera Martín de la Jara y Jódar, la activista de la memoria histórica Paqui Maqueda o la investigadora Pura Sánchez.
Por otra parte, el presidente andaluz, José Antonio Griñán, presidió ayer la entrega de los XXV Premios Andalucía de Periodismo, cuya modalidad en fotografía recayó en Raúl Caro, por la instantánea Se deben la vida, publicada en la portada de Público, que refleja a dos hermanos frente a frente, uno de los cuales sirvió de medicamento para el otro mediante el uso de células madre. El resto de premiados fueron José Joaquín León, Fernando Pérez Monguió, Giralda TV y Flamenco World.
