Una cadena de atentados en Irak mató ayer a seis personas y dejó heridas a otras 40. Cuatro policías murieron tras la explosión de una bomba al paso de su vehículo en la ciudad de Faluya, al oeste de Bagdad. Los otros dos muertos se registraron en una parada de autobuses en la zona chií de la capital iraquí al explotar un coche bomba.
Los ataques se produjeron un día después de la oleada que acabó con más de 70 personas en Ciudad Sader, uno de los principales bastiones de la comunidad chií en Bagdad. En los atentados resultaron heridas 130 personas.
La violencia se ha recrudecido en Irak en los últimos meses mientras Estados Unidos mantiene su plan de sacar sus tropas de las principales ciudades del país el próximo martes.
El resto de tropas de combate abandonarán Irak en septiembre de 2010 y el resto de efectivos dejará el país para finales de 2011.
El mando militar estadounidense confirmó ayer que el repliegue se mantiene en la fecha prevista pese a la violencia. Nueve soldados de Estados Unidos resultaron heridos ayer cuando dos bombas plantadas junto a la carretera explotaron al paso de sus patrullas.
