El alcalde de San Sebastián, el socialista Odón Elorza, ha opinado hoy que el asesinato de Eduardo Puelles y la quema de un autobús en la capital guipuzcoano pueden suponer "un repunte de la actividad terrorista" al que hay que responder con "unidad" y "confianza" en las fuerzas de seguridad.
El primer edil donostiarra se ha referido, en declaraciones a los periodistas tras la concentración silenciosa celebrada ante el Ayuntamiento, al ataque perpetrado esta madrugada por seis encapuchados contra un autobús urbano, que ha resultado calcinado.
Elorza ha explicado que había 10 personas en el interior del autobús cuando media docena de encapuchados les obligó a abandonar el vehículo y posteriormente incendió el autobús.
El primer edil ha detallado que el fuego ha destruido el autobús, ha dañado a otros siete coches y ha destrozado la marquesina de la parada.
"Confiamos en que los cuerpos policiales, coordinados, consigan detener al comando que ayer cometió el asesinato y al comando que también esta madrugada ha atacado los bienes ciudadanos, al quemar un autobús de la compañía municipal", ha manifestado Elorza.
Antes de la concentración, la Junta de Portavoces del Ayuntamiento de San Sebastián ha aprobado una declaración de condena del asesinato de Puelles y de la quema del autobús, en la que ha exigido a ETA su "disolución inmediata" y ha transmitido su solidaridad a la familia del fallecido y a sus compañeros del Cuerpo Nacional de Policía.
