Izquierda Unida ha presentado en el Parlamento autonómico una enmienda a la totalidad a los Presupuestos de Extremadura para 2012. La enmienda incorpora propuestas de SIEX, socio de Izquierda Unida en Extremadura, así como otras medidas de la propia formación que se decidieron en la tarde ayer jueves en una reunión monográfica sobre este asunto.
La posición del grupo Izquierda Unida-Verdes ante el proyecto de presupestos de la comunidad autónoma presentado por el gobierno del conservador José Antonio Monago había suscitado en el día de ayer jueves una serie de tensiones que cristalizaron en el anuncio del coordinador local de IU en Badajoz, Manuel Sosa, de barajar la posibilidad de abandonar la política activa.
Sosa consideraba que la formación se negaba a dar legitimidad a los que exigían una enmienda a la totalidad. Posteriormente, el coordinador general de IU en Extremadura, Pedro Escobar, replicó a Manuel Sosa que esperaba su intervención en la deliberación previa al posicionamiento respecto a los presupuestos, al tiempo que negaba que hubiese ningún tipo de acuerdo con el PP para limitarse a enmiendas parciales.
