La vicepresidenta y portavoz del Gobierno, María Teresa Fernández de la Vega, insistió el viernes en el carácter estratégico de Repsol y en el interés del Ejecutivo porque la empresa siga siendo controlada por españoles.
"El Gobierno desea que Repsol siga siendo una empresa dirigida por españoles, con un plan industrial que sea positivo para el interés estratégico de la garantía de suministro", dijo la vicepresidenta en la rueda de prensa posterior al consejo de ministros.
La Caixa y su brazo cotizado, Criteria, reconocieron el viernes que negocian una eventual venta de su participación del 14 por ciento en Repsol a Lukoil vinculada a que Sacyr venda al grupo ruso su 20 por ciento en el capital.
La noticia, que extendió las ganancias de los principales valores implicados, despierta diversas dudas en el mercado, entre ellas, la de carácter político.
"La atención está centrada sobre todo en el asunto de Repsol", explicó un analista. "Hay muchas incógnitas por resolver, la más importante las posibles oposiciones de carácter político".
Cuando el jueves se publicaron los supuestos contactos entre Sacyr y Lukoil, el presidente del Gobierno, José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero, dijo que el Gobierno estará muy atento a cualquier cambio en el accionariado y mostró su preferencia por un grupo español.
