La facturación del sector servicios de mercado disminuyó el 20,1% en abril con respecto al mismo mes de 2008 y el empleo lo hizo el 6,8% por ciento, lo que supone las mayores caídas desde enero de 2003, fecha desde la que existen datos comparables, según el Instituto Nacional de Estadística (INE).
Todos los sectores redujeron su cifra de negocio en abril en términos interanuales, especialmente en el comercio, con un 23,4 por ciento, seguido del transporte (el 18,2%), los servicios a empresas (el 17,1%), el turismo (el 8,7%) y las tecnologías de la información (el 6,3%).
Las actividades que registraron los mayores descensos fueron las relacionadas con las ventas de vehículos, motocicletas y repuestos, con una bajada del 41,8%; las relacionadas con el empleo (41,7%), y de combustibles, metales y otros (41,4%).
El empleo cayó también en todos los sectores, sobre todo en los servicios a empresas, donde lo hizo el 9,5%, seguido del turismo (7,3%), el comercio y transporte (ambos el 4,9%) y las tecnologías de la información (el 2%).
