Enriqueta Rodríguez Figarredo, abuela materna de la Princesa de Asturias, ha fallecido esta noche en el Hospital Gregorio Marañón de Madrid, informaron a Efe fuentes hospitalarias.
La Princesa de Asturias ha suspendido sus actividades oficiales de hoy, cuando iba a asistir junto al resto de la Familia Real a la entrega de los Premios Nacionales de Deporte, han informado a Efe fuentes del Palacio de la Zarzuela.
La abuela de Doña Letizia ingresó en el hospital por urgencias y desde el sábado se encontraba en la Unidad de Vigilancia Intensiva.
Precisamente en este mismo hospital estuvo ingresado el pasado marzo su marido, Francisco Rocasolano, de 90 años, por un problema cardíaco.
Francisco Rocasolano y Enriqueta Rodríguez son bisabuelos de las infantas Leonor y Sofía y de Carla, hija de la hermana menor de Doña Letizia, Erika Ortiz, quien falleció el 7 de febrero de 2007.
Los abuelos maternos de la Princesa vivieron en Madrid hasta que Francisco Rocasolano, taxista de profesión, se jubiló en 1991 y la pareja se mudó a Alicante.
