El fiscal coordinador de Medio Ambiente, Antonio Vercher, ha dirigido hoy un oficio a la Consejería de Medio Ambiente de la Comunidad de Madrid debido a la mala calidad del aire en la capital, motivo por el que se han incoado unas diligencias informativas, según la Fiscalía General del Estado.
En su escrito, el fiscal explica que durante el año 2009 ha ordenado hacer un detallado seguimiento de los niveles de contaminación del aire y los valores relativos al ozono en Madrid, y se ha detectado que de enero a agosto en diversos días se han superado notablemente los límites permitidos.
Por ello, y al amparo de lo establecido por la Ley de Responsabilidad Ambiental, el fiscal solicita a la Consejería de Medio Ambiente que le comunique qué actos se han adoptado para los casos de exceso de contaminación, así como los planes y programas para la mejora de la calidad del aire tanto en la ciudad como en la Comunidad de Madrid que se hayan puesto en marcha desde esas instancias oficiales.
