La Fiscalía de la Audiencia Nacional ha solicitado hoy a la de Colombia que le remita urgentemente la información de la que disponga sobre la relación entre ETA y las Fuerzas Armadas Revolucionarias de Colombia (FARC), han confirmado a Efe fuentes del Ministerio Público.
El fiscal jefe de la Audiencia Nacional, Javier Zaragoza, ha firmado un decreto ordenando abrir una investigación sobre este asunto, del que habló la semana pasada en Panamá con el fiscal general colombiano, Mario Iguarán, durante la II Conferencia Ministerial sobre Cooperación Internacional contra el Terrorismo y la Delincuencia Organizada Transnacional.
La solicitud de la Fiscalía se produce después de que, el pasado 29 de mayo, el Gobierno colombiano confirmara que las FARC buscaron la colaboración de ETA para atentar en Madrid contra el vicepresidente de ese país, Francisco Santos, y el ex presidente Andrés Pastrana, entre otras personalidades como ministros y embajadores.
Las supuestas relaciones entre ambos grupos terroristas salieron a la luz a raíz del descubrimiento de unos correos electrónicos, fechados en 2002 y 2003, encontrados en el ordenador del jefe guerrillero Luis Edgar Devia, "Raúl Reyes", muerto en una incursión militar colombiana en territorio ecuatoriano el pasado 1 de marzo.
En esos correos se afirma que varios etarras recibieron un curso de las FARC y se menciona la ayuda que la banda terrorista podría proporcionarles "en otros países", incluso de la Unión Europea.
"Se les planteó allí la posibilidad de contribuirnos con trabajos en España y en otros países", señala uno de los mensajes, que añadía que "se habló de Pastrana, (la entonces embajadora colombiana en Madrid) Noemí (Sanín) y (el periodista) Bernardo Gutiérrez".
En el escrito dirigido a las autoridades colombianas, la Fiscalía pide tener acceso a los ordenadores de "Raúl Reyes".
