El alcalde de Madrid, Alberto Ruiz-Gallardón, ha recordado hoy que el PP "no es un partido federal" y ha opinado que sobre asuntos de "trascendencia nacional" como la Presidencia de Caja Madrid, quien decide no es la dirección regional sino la nacional, que lidera Mariano Rajoy.
En rueda de prensa tras la reunión semanal de su Gobierno, Ruiz-Gallardón ha considerado "evidente" que "todo lo que afecte a la cuarta entidad financiera de España" tiene esa "trascendencia nacional", por lo que "el Ayuntamiento de Madrid y su alcalde estarán en todo a lo que diga la dirección nacional del Partido Popular".
Como ejemplo de que ese es el criterio que mantiene el PP, ha indicado que ni él ni la presidenta de la Comunidad de Madrid, Esperanza Aguirre, fueron candidatos por decisión de la dirección regional sino de la nacional, y ha subrayado que "si esas son las reglas del juego tenemos que respetarlas en un asunto de esta trascendencia".
Ruiz-Gallardón ha advertido además de que "no habrá ofrecimiento" ninguno que pueda hacerle cambiar ese criterio y se ha negado a "entrar en valoraciones de personas", al ser preguntado por la apuesta de la Comunidad de Madrid para colocar como candidato a la Presidencia de la caja al vicepresidente regional, Ignacio González.
"Yo no quiero entrar en el debate de las personas ni para incluir ni para excluir ni para valorar", ha asegurado el alcalde, que tampoco ha querido "entrar a hacer valoraciones políticas" cuando ha sido preguntado si considera la apuesta de la Comunidad por González un "pulso" de Aguirre a Rajoy.
