"El gato con botas", al que presta su voz el español Antonio Banderas en la saga "Shrek" desde su segunda parte, en 2004, tendrá su propia película, en la que se explicará el origen de ese personaje del cuento popular.
Según informa hoy el portal especializado Comingsoon.net, el propio actor confirmó que actualmente graba la cuarta parte de la franquicia, "Shrek Forever After", y que ha recibido el guión para la película basada en el minino amigo del popular ogro verde.
"Hace un par de días fui a los estudios Dreamworks y me explicaron en qué iba a consistir la cinta propia de 'Puss in Boots' (título original), y tiene un aspecto increíble", dijo el intérprete malagueño.
"Han trabajado muy duro en el guión durante casi tres años", comentó Banderas.
"Me encanta", agregó el intérprete, quien explicó que el filme se centrará en los orígenes del felino, "desde que es muy pequeño", y plasmará cómo se convierte en el personaje que aparece por primera vez en "Shrek 2".
"Es interesante porque se aleja del uso de la cultura popular que emplea la saga. Es diferente y a veces adquiere un tono casi emotivo, casi épico", manifestó Banderas, quien sintió "una conexión total" con el personaje, a pesar de que es un dibujo animado.
"Creo que va a sorprender a la gente; no esperan lo que vamos a hacer", concluyó.
