El Gobierno aprobó el viernes la prevista creación de un fondo estatal dotado con 5.000 millones de euros para el empleo y la sostenibilidad local y con una creación de empleo prevista de unos 200.000 puestos de trabajo.
El fondo, conocido como 'segundo Plan E', entrará en vigor a partir del primero de enero de 2010 y dará preferencia a ofertas de empleo para trabajadores en paro de larga duración.
Tras el Consejo de Ministros del viernes, la vicepresidenta Primera del Gobierno, María Teresa Fernández de la Vega, dijo en rueda de prensa que el fondo rotará en base a dos ejes fundamentales tales como dotar a los ayuntamientos de liquidez para invertir en nuevas tecnologías y dedicar a fines sociales un 20 por ciento de la liquidez asignada a cada consistorio.
Por su parte, el vicepresidente tercero del Gobierno, Manuel Chávez, dijo que el Gobierno espera que se presente un ún numero total cercano a los 15.000 proyectos.
Este fondo viene después de que el Ejecutivo implementara un plan similar en 2009 por un monto de 8.000 millones de euros que generó 420.000 puestos de trabajo.
El pasado mayo, el presidente del Gobierno, Jose Luis Rodríguez Zapatero, avanzó en el Debate sobre el Estado de la Nación, que los Presupuestos de 2010 incluirían un nuevo fondo de inversión local con una dotación de 5.000 millones.
