El Gobierno aprobará el viernes un plan de austeridad que implicará un recorte del gasto del Estado "muy severo" que estará en torno a los 50.000 millones de euros pero que no afectará a las partidas destinadas a pensiones, prestaciones por desempleo, dependencia y educación.
Así lo han asegurado a Efe fuentes del Gobierno ante la aprobación de ese plan en la reunión que mantendrá esta semana el Consejo de Ministros.
Las fuentes citadas han señalado que el jefe del Ejecutivo, José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero, dio instrucciones hace semanas a sus ministros para que fueran preparando este recorte que tiene como meta reducir el déficit y cumplir con los objetivos del Plan de Estabilidad de la UE para 2013.
El recorte afectará hasta ese año a todas las administraciones públicas, pero, según han insistido las fuentes citadas, no afectará a las partidas de gasto social que dependen del Gobierno.
Una decisión que, según han señalado, responde a la filosofía de que el coste de la crisis no puede caer sobre los que menos recursos tienen.
