El pleno del Congreso de los Diputados ha aprobado el límite de gasto no financiero del presupuesto del Estado de 160.158 millones de euros previsto para 2009.
La inciativa ha contado con el apoyo del Grupo Socialista y el voto en contra del PP, de UPyD y de IU-ICV. El resto de grupos se han abstenido.
La Cámara ha dado también el visto bueno al compromiso del conjunto del sector público de mantener la estabilidad presupuestaria los próximos tres años -superávit del 0,8 por ciento del PIB en 2009, del 0,7 en el 2010 y del 0,8 en el 2011-.
El vicepresidente segundo del Gobierno y ministro de Economía y Hacienda, Pedro Solbes, ha destacado que el límite de gasto no financiero fijado para 2009 es un 5 por ciento mayor que el de este año, con lo que el Ejecutivo mantendrá su "compromiso de que crezca en proporción al PIB nominal".
