Moore, considerado como el escultor británico más importante del siglo XX, exploró algunos de sus temas preferidos también en su obra gráfica: el desnudo femenino reclinado, las figuras de madre e hijo, los estudios de animales y formas de piedra.
Ya había tratado estos temas en la escultura, pero especialmente durante su vejez lo hizo también, y cada vez en mayor medida, en dibujos y grabados, el género menos conocido de su trabajo artístico.
En la muestra se exhiben doce litografías y dos aguafuertes, en color y en blanco y negro, de la serie Meditations on the effigy, publicada por la Marlborough Gallery de Londres con motivo del septuagésimo aniversario del artista, en 1968.
También se incluyen veintiocho grabados al aguafuerte en blanco y negro, que bajo el título Elephant skull se inspiran en el cráneo monumental de un elefante africano que le regalaron en 1966 el biólogo sir Julian y lady Juliet Huxley. Su fascinación por el cráneo del proboscidio le llevó a dibujarlo y recrearlo en una serie de aguafuertes.
También se muestra la serie titulada La poésie, editada en 1976 por la Asociación de Bibliófilos Arte y Poesía en París, compuesta de ocho litografías en color. En esta serie, el artista británico empleó la técnica llamada litografía de diazo, que consiste en dibujar el motivo con tinta negra sobre una película y transferirlo luego sobre la piedra litográfica mediante luz ultravioleta.
