El internacional luso Hugo Viana, que llegó al Sporting de Braga -actual líder del campeonato- procedente del Valencia, considera a su antiguo técnico en Osasuna, José Angel "Cuco" Ziganda, "el peor entrenador" unido a "la peor persona".
"Conocí en Osasuna al peor entrenador, junto a la peor persona. Fui titular, estuve entrenándome en solitario, no fui convocado, fui suplente", revela en una entrevista publicada hoy en el rotativo luso "Récord" el ex futbolista rojillo durante la temporada 2007/08.
El medio portugués reconoce que no aprendió "nada" de Ziganda, excepto a no ser como él: "trataba a los jugadores suplentes con desprecio", asegura.
No obstante, Viana, que disputó con el Osasuna nueve partidos, resalta que también tuvo vivencias positivas y recuerda que conoció a "personas fabulosas" en Pamplona, donde encontró "un club humilde" que luchaba por mantener la categoría con "un gran grupo" de jugadores.
El futbolista, de 27 años, es producto de la prolífica cantera del Sporting de Lisboa, donde se formaron Figo, Simao y Cristiano Ronaldo, entre otros, y ha militado también en el Newcastle inglés y Valencia.
Desde esta temporada milita en el Braga, donde está exhibiendo un notable estado de forma y ha contribuido a que su club sea líder de la Liga portuguesa disputadas 16 jornadas.
"En el Sporting de Braga encontré la alegría de jugar", remata el dorsal número 45 de los "arsenalistas".
