El presidente del Instituto de Crédito Oficial (ICO), Aurelio Martínez, calculó hoy que para el mes de agosto este organismo será responsable del cien por cien del nuevo crédito concedido en el último año, unos 8.000 millones de euros.
En su intervención en un curso sobre la crisis económica organizado por la Asociación de Periodistas de Información Económica (APIE) y el BBVA, Martínez señaló que esa cantidad sería, si se mantiene la tendencia, la cifra neta de crecimiento del crédito total en el sistema, y coincidiría con el aumento del capital prestado por el ICO entre agosto de 2008 y el mismo mes de este año.
El presidente del ICO señaló que actualmente este organismo asume ya el 13,1% del crédito que se ha concedido en los cuatro primeros meses del año.
En su intervención, Martínez señaló también que el ICO está dispuesto a modificar de nuevo la moratoria hipotecaria si las entidades financieras proponen fórmulas para hacerla más eficiente.
Tampoco evoluciona bien la moratoria de crédito para las pymes, de la que sólo se han prestado 6,70 millones de los 5.000 previstos, el 0,13%.
Sí que evolucionan bien las líneas ICO-PYME, que ya ha prestado 2.475,11 millones de euros, el 24,75% del total previsto (10.000 millones), así como la ICO-Liquidez también para las pymes, con 1.835,91 millones prestados, el 36,72% del total (5.000 millones).
Martínez vaticinó que esta última línea, puesta en marcha ante la falta de liquidez provocada por esta crisis y pensada para facilitar capital circulante a las empresas -dinero para funcionar- acabará agotándose.
Por otro lado, el presidente del ICO consideró que "no da la sensación de que el euribor -índice hipotecario de referencia- vaya a bajar más".
