La Guardia Civil ha interceptado una patera a la deriva a 14 millas del puerto de Tarifa (Cádiz), según han informado a Efe fuentes del servicio de emergencias 112.
El 112 recibió una llamada telefónica de un particular desde Marruecos a las 07:14 horas, que les informó de que "había una embarcación con problemas que había salido de Tánger (Marruecos) y no veía la costa española".
El personal de emergencia alertó a la Guardia Civil, a la Cruz Roja y a los servicios sanitarios, tras lo cual el helicóptero 'Helimer' de Salvamento Marítimo se desplazó a la zona y localizó la patera.
Las fuentes indican que la embarcación transportaba "aproximadamente" a una treintena de inmigrantes, aunque la cifra exacta y la procedencia de los tripulantes están por determinar.
El 112 ha añadido que la presencia de menores y el estado de salud de los inmigrantes "se confirmarán cuando sean examinados tras llegar a puerto" a lo largo del día.
