El modisto alemán Karl Lagerfeld, director creativo de Chanel, calificó hoy de "elegante" el vestido de novia de la duquesa Catalina, "mucho más refinado" que el traje con el que en 1981 se casó la fallecida Diana de Gales con el príncipe Carlos.
"Es muy bonito, relativamente clásico, pero acorde con el escenario, con un ligero aire a los años 50, que recuerda a Marilyn o al vestido de novia de Elisabeth II", dijo el creador en la cadena francesa France 2.
Lagerfeld, invitado por la emisora para comentar el enlace real, estimó, según los medios galos, que el encaje "es bonito", así como "el velo bordado y la diadema, colocada no muy alta, con un moño no demasiado grande".
"Es precioso y la proporción de la cola es perfecta", concluyó sobre ese traje diseñado por Sarah Burton, de la firma Alexander McQueen.
El príncipe Guillermo, segundo en la línea de sucesión a la corona británica, y Catalina se dieron hoy el "sí quiero" frente al altar principal de la abadía de Westminster, tras lo cual el arzobispo de Canterbury les declaró marido y mujer.
