Los 68 inmigrantes subsaharianos, entre ellos seis niños de entre 1 y 2 años, que han sido interceptados esta noche por efectivos de la Guardia Civil y de Salvamento cuando navegaban a 33 millas de la costa de Motril han llegado pasadas las doce de la noche, en buen estado, al Puerto de Motril (Granada).
Fuentes de la Cruz Roja señalaron a EFE que voluntarios de esta organización dispensaron en la misma dársena una primera atención sanitaria y alimenticia a los inmigrantes, que presentan un buen estado aunque con algo de frío.
Los inmigrantes fueron localizados sobre las ocho de la tarde por una patrullera finlandesa, que dio el aviso a Salvamento marítimo por lo que se desplazó hasta la zona la Salvamar Hamal, con base en el puerto de Motril, además de efectivos del Servicio Marítimo de la Guardia Civil.
