El técnico de la selección española, Luis Aragonés, dijo hoy que, encajar goles como el del pasado sábado ante Perú (2-1), no es un problema de los centrales, sino de la actitud defensiva del conjunto, que tiene que saber competir cuando tiene ventaja en el marcador.
Dos días después de la apurada victoria contra los peruanos, Aragonés se muestra satisfecho en términos generales con la primera prueba hecha antes de la Eurocopa, pero avisa, en una entrevista concedida a la página web de la Federación Española, de que "nadie ha sido campeón con errores en esa parcela (la defensa)".
"Cuando uno va ganando debe saber competir. No se puede cometer el error de, por querer jugar un balón, que te llegue un gol así. Esos balones hay que sacárselos de encima. La seguridad defensiva debe estar por encima de todo", señaló.
"Para defender bien, lo primero es la seguridad. Los jugadores estaban avisados. Cuando vas ganando, el contrario debe jugar los menos minutos posibles. Pero a nosotros el equipo se nos hizo demasiado largo, hubo demasiada distancia entre líneas", agregó.
El técnico descarga de culpas a los centrales, Carlos Marchena y Carles Puyol, cuyo rendimiento ha sido puesto en entredicho. "La gente habla de centrales; yo, de equipo", indicó.
No obstante, recuerda que "mantener a cero tu portería es vital". "Los últimos grandes, Italia, Grecia, lo han sido por eso. Pero tenemos una gran virtud y es que llegamos con facilidad. Lo que tenemos que hacer es juntarnos bien y ordenados, porque el que lo hace así es el que mejor defiende", destacó.
Luis Aragonés asegura que la selección española no cambiará mucho tácticamente de lo que pudo ofrecer ante Perú, el pasado sábado, en Huelva.
