El actual entrenador de la selección española de fútbol, Luis Aragonés, que abandonará su puesto tras la próxima Eurocopa de Austria y Suiza, es "el favorito" para convertirse en el nuevo técnico del Fenerbahçe, según la televisión turca NTV.
La agencia Dogan, asimismo, afirmó que en la tarde de hoy el hermano del presidente del Fenerbahçe Ali Yildirim y un dirigente del club, Mahmut Üslü, tomaron un vuelo hacia Madrid "para completar un fichaje", del que no se dieron más datos.
NTV aseguró que Aragonés es "el favorito" para ocupar el puesto de entrenador del Fenerbahçe la próxima temporada tras confirmarse que el hasta ahora técnico, el brasileño Arthur Antunes Coimbra 'Zico', no volverá a sentarse el banquillo de los 'canarios' de Estambul.
Zico hizo hoy público, en declaraciones a la agencia turca 'Dogan', que había llegado a un acuerdo con el club inglés Manchester City.
La incertidumbre sobre el futuro del técnico brasileño se ha mantenido hasta el último momento ya que el presidente del club turco, Aziz Yildirim, se mostraba partidario de buscar a un sustituto, que por el momento no ha sido desvelado de forma oficial.
Anteriormente, el presidente del Fenerbahçe ya había asegurado que, en caso de no renovar el contrato con Zico, "el club tiene un plan B y un plan C".
En declaraciones a los periodistas turcos, el vicepresidente del Fenerbahçe, Sekip Mosturoglu, explicó hoy que "hay dos entrenadores que esperan una respuesta del equipo".
Sin embargo, se apresuró a señalar que ninguno de ellos es Luis Aragonés.
