Actualizado:
Miles de personas se manifiestan hoy en Ascó para pedir que el ayuntamiento de esta localidad no presente su candidatura para acoger el Almacén Temporal Centralizado (ATC), donde se depositarán los residuos radiactivos de todas las centrales nucleares españolas.
Convocados por la Coordinadora Anti-cementerio nuclear, y en un ambiente festivo pero a la vez reivindicativo, los manifestantes han hecho oír su voz con lemas como: "Ascó, Catalunya diu que no" y "Alcalde dimissió".
El ayuntamiento de Ascó tiene previsto aprobar el próximo martes en un pleno extraordinario la presentación de su candidatura para acoger el ATC, instalación a la que ya opta oficialmente la localidad de Yebra (Guadalajara).
