La morosidad de los créditos concedidos por bancos, cajas de ahorros, cooperativas y establecimientos financieros de crédito a particulares y empresas se situó en enero en el 5,30%, el nivel más alto desde mayo de 1996, cuando se situó en el 5,31%, según datos del Banco de España recogidos por Europa Press.
La tasa de enero supera en 1,42 puntos la de hace un año (3,88%), pero incrementa sólo en 0,23 décimas el nivel de diciembre (5,07%).
El sector prevé que la morosidad se incremente hasta mediados de año
El sector asegura que la tasa crecerá hasta mediados de año, coincidiendo con el previsible incremento del desempleo, pero que en el segundo trimestre alcanzará su pico y a partir de ahí comenzará a descender hasta finales de año.
Los establecimientos financieros de crédito (EFC) fueron las entidades que registraron una mayor tasa y comenzaron el año en el 10,21%. A continuación, se situaron las cajas (5,34%), los bancos (5,18%) y las cooperativas de crédito (3,97%).
Excluyendo los EFC, que presentan una morosidad muy elevada, el ratio del sector registró en enero el 5,18%, la más alta desde abril de 1996 (5,27%) y frente al 4,95% de diciembre.
Los créditos totales alcanzaron en el año 1,81 billones de euros, mientras que los créditos dudosos se situaron en enero en 96.259 millones. Sin los EFC, los créditos totales alcanzaron los 1,77 billones de euros y los dudosos, 91.853 millones de euros.
