Diez civiles murieron y otros seis resultaron heridos en un ataque suicida perpetrado hoy contra un convoy de la OTAN en el sur de Afganistán, según informó a Efe el jefe de la Policía provincial, Hussain Andiwal.
El ataque fue perpetrado a las 09.00 hora local (04.30 GMT) en las proximidades de un bazar del distrito de Gerishk, situado en la conflictiva provincia afgana de Helmand, dijo Andiwal.
Explicó que el suicida llevaba consigo una carga explosiva que hizo detonar contra un convoy de la OTAN, aunque no pudo precisar si se produjeron bajas entre las tropas internacionales.
Los combates entre las fuerzas internacionales y afganas y la insurgencia talibán, así como los atentados, son constantes en Afganistán, especialmente en el tercio meridional del país.
