Quince personas han muerto en los 13 accidentes de tráfico ocurridos en las carreteras españolas durante el pasado fin de semana, según ha informado hoy la Dirección General de Tráfico.
En los siniestros ocurridos entre las 15:00 horas del pasado viernes y las 24:00 horas de ayer, domingo, otras 7 personas resultaron heridas graves y 6 leves.
El viernes hubo un fallecido en un accidente, mientras que el sábado se contabilizaron 8 siniestros con 10 víctimas mortales, 6 heridos graves y 3 leves.
Ayer, domingo, 4 personas perdieron la vida en 4 accidentes en los que otra sufrió heridas de gravedad y 3 de carácter leve.
De los 13 accidentes, 8 han sido por salida de vía y 4 por colisión, mientras que solo en uno se ha visto implicada una motocicleta.
El siniestro más grave del fin de semana, ocurrido el sábado en Calviá (Mallorca), fue una colisión frontal ocasionada por un vehículo conducido por una mujer de 25 años que circulaba en sentido contrario y que causó 3 muertos.
En lo que va de año, el número de fallecidos en accidentes en las carreteras se eleva a 579, que son 75 menos que hasta la misma fecha de 2008, lo que supone un descenso de 11 por ciento.
