El índice Nikkei tocó el lunes su mayor cierre de cuatro semanas, impulsado por exportadores como Honda Motor por la debilidad del yen,
Mientras tanto, Kawasaki Heavy subió por informaciones sobre un proyecto de tren de alta velocidad en China.
Las acciones bancarias, como Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group, repuntaron por cobertura de posiciones cortas, mientras que Japan Airlines avanzó un 2,6 por ciento por la noticia de que un organismo respaldado por el Estado vigilará la reforma de la aerolínea.
Los inversores se mostraron cauto por los próximos resultados de empresa que se anuncian esta semana.
El índice Nikkei cerró con una subida del 0,77 por ciento, a 10.362,62 puntos, tras abrir a 10.271,84 y oscilar entre 10.250,84 y 10.397,69.
