El canal Nitro estrena esta noche, a las 22.15 horas, un doble capítulo de la séptima temporada de 24, una producción de la Fox que ha convertido a su protagonista, Kiefer Sutherland, en uno de los actores mejor pagados de EEUU.
La serie ha conseguido, entre otros galardones, un total de 18 Premios Emmy y dos Globos de Oro. Creada por Joel Surnow y Robert Cochran, la nueva entrega de 24 mantiene su impredecible formato. Cada episodio representa una hora en tiempo real, y la historia completa transcurre en una inquietante jornada.
La séptima etapa de esta serie considerada de culto arranca cuatro años después del final de la anterior. Jack Bauer acusado de haber torturado a prisioneros mientras trabajaba en la UAT, es reclamado por el Gobierno de EEUU para ayudar a encontrar a un antiguo compañero, que todos creían muerto, y que supone una seria amenaza para el país. Todo dará un giro inesperado cuando su antiguo colega Tony Almeida (Carlos Bernard) reaparezca.
Los críticos de televisión de EEUU han calificado 24 como "la serie del año". Y el American Film Institute (AFI) ya la eligió entre las diez mejores producciones televisivas en 2005.
